The Cleveland Browns will enter new territory in 2019, as they will head into the 2019 NFL season as a potential playoff team. That is right, the Browns are officially in the picture for a playoff spot next season, thanks to the move they made at the top of the 2018 NFL Draft in drafting Baker Mayfield.

While many scouts felt Mayfield may be too small for the NFL, or was not a good leader, Mayfield proved once again that he brings so much more than just statistics to the table. He is a natural born leader, and has had to prove himself at every level, capping his college career off with a Heisman Trophy.

Once inserted into the lineup, Mayfield showed the Browns Faithful what he is made of, and for the first time in a long time, they have their franchise quarterback. He is a guy who is going to win a lot of games at the NFL level, and it would make sense for the franchise to continue to put talented players around him.

With their first round pick in 2019, the Browns could look to add a wide receiver, bringing a player like D.K. Metcalf from Ole Miss into the fray. The Browns have some solid options in the passing attack in Jarvis Landry, Antonio Callaway, and David Njoku, but Metcalf could be that final piece that puts the unit over the top.
