Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 18. player. 60.

The Minnesota Vikings were a pretty disappointing team in 2018, as they figured they made a move during the offseason to get them over the hump. During the 2017 NFL season, Case Keenum led the Vikings all the way to the NFC Championship Game, but he was replaced by Kirk Cousins this past offseason.

While Cousins put up solid statistics, he could not lead this team back to the playoffs, and it will be back to the drawing board at a number of positions in 2019. One area of serious need is up front along the offensive line, where they may want to use their first round pick on one of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class.

That man is Cody Ford, who has spent the last couple of seasons at the University of Oklahoma protecting Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks. Ford is a guy who can play up and down the line, and after seeing this Vikings offensive line last season, they could use all the depth they can get moving forward.

Minnesota has the talent on both sides of the ball to be a playoff team once again in 2019, but they have to figure out a way to not only protect Cousins, but clear lanes for running back Dalvin Cook. If they can shore up the offensive line, and maybe add a few pieces to the defense, they could find themselves back atop the NFC North as early as next season.
