DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 3, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Russell Westbrook (vs MEM – $11,600): Needs 56.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.25 fantasy points against San Antonio. You can always count on Russell Westbrook for numbers and even though this is a back-to-back for the Thunder, Westbrook allegedly doesn’t get tired. It’s also a back-to-back for the Grizzlies and the Thunder are at home, which should help their cause. I’m not in love with him just because of the price and matchup but I’m also not doubting Westbrook’s ability to post huge numbers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Mike Conley (at OKC – $7,600): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.25 fantasy points against. I like the matchup more for Conley just because Westbrook isn’t interested in playing defense and the Thunder defense has fallen off without Paul George. Conley is a fairly reliable guy and he continues to compete, even with the Grizzlies going nowhere. He should get you value if nothing else in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (at DET – $7,300): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50.25 fantasy points against Portland. But Lowry is my favorite play of the three point guards because he has a great matchup with the Pistons on a back-to-back and he’s found his rhythm for the most part in the last couple of weeks. He does a bit of everything and it really comes down to his scoring because the assists and rebounds will be there. Expect him to score in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
