High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (at WAS – $5,800): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.2 fantasy points against Indiana. It was a rough outing for Rose against the Pacers but I’m going to say that was more about the matchup than Rose falling off. He still gets the minutes and plenty of opportunities. And the Wizards are not even close to the level of the Pacers, especially on the defensive end. Rose should bounce back with a good outing in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Tomas Satoransky (vs MIN – $5,500): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.5 fantasy points against Boston. Satoransky as looked good in recent outings and his salary has dropped to a level where it’s easier for him to give you value. The matchup is a good one and this should be an easy hit for Satoransky. The points and assists will be in there in what projects to be an offensive showdown as neither team cares all that much about defense. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Reggie Jackson (vs TOR – $5,300): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.4 fantasy points against Cleveland. It’s a back-to-back for the Pistons but they didn’t have to play their top guys many minutes against the Cavaliers. But they did have to still play a basketball game and travel. Meanwhile, the Raptors are waiting. And they are one of the top teams in the east for a reason. Still, Jackson typically gets the minutes and opportunities while being at an affordable salary. The ceiling is high as well. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
