Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a bounce back year and will look to use this offseason to build on that positive momentum. Obviously, the biggest factor in their turn around was the health of Andrew Luck.

His ability to get back on the field provided the Colts with stability on offense. However, the dramatically improved play from the defense was also a major reason for the team’s return to the playoffs.

Indianapolis heads into the offseason with a ton of money to spend. They are projected to have over $100 million in cap space which should allow the Colts to make some significant additions to the roster.

One area where they could focus is the defensive line. The interior of the defense has Margus Hunt and Al Woods hitting free agency. This leaves only Denico Autry and Hassan Ridgeway as experienced holdovers.

The Colts could add both depth and talent if they were to sign Sheldon Richardson. His combination of toughness and quickness would help create some problems for the opposing offense.

Indianapolis’ large amount of cap space means they could offer Richardson a strong deal. They could even look to front load the contract in order to protect themselves down the road.
