Cleveland Browns

Things are looking up for the Cleveland Browns after a solid year. They have a new coaching staff in place that features some big names like Freddie Kitchens and Steve Wilks. The franchise might actually have a realistic shot of earning a playoff berth this season.

However, there are still a few areas on the roster that need to be addressed if the Browns how to end their playoff drought.

Cleveland yet again has a ton of cap space and the opportunity to make some impact signings. However, this year seems a little different as they could be targeting some pieces to get them over the hump.

The Browns defensive line is built around Myles Garrett who is quickly becoming one of the better pass rushers in the league. Cleveland could make life easier on Garrett if they add someone like Sheldon Richardson to the interior.

Larry Ogunjobi has established himself as a strong interior defender with the ability to penetrate the pocket. Adding Richardson to work alongside Ogunjobi would limit the offenses ability to roll protection towards Garrett.

This year’s free agent class doesn’t have a ton of talent. Richardson is one of the few who isn’t 30-years old and still possesses some upside. A team like the Browns hoping to make a playoff push could use a veteran with his skill set.
