Edge. Florida State. Brian Burns. 12. player. 49.

The Green Bay Packers are one of two teams with multiple first round picks in 2019, joining only the Oakland Raiders as teams that will head to the podium more than once. Green Bay has a lot of work to do in terms of their roster, especially on defense, and that is where they should focus their first of two first rounders in April.

Brian Burns was one of the standout players during the NFL Scouting Combine, and did a world of good when it comes to his status as a first rounder. Burns has the size, and speed to get the edge at the NFL level, and comes into  this draft as one of the more NFL-ready players in this draft class, which is loaded with edge rushers.

During his time at Florida State, Burns was an extremely productive player, starring for a Seminoles team that was never quite as good as expected. In Green Bay, he will be joining a defense that need to be much better in 2019, as the NFC North has at least two other teams that should fight for the division title next season.

Green Bay has a new head coach this season, as the team decided to fire Mike McCarthy during the 2018 campaign. Matt LaFleur will be manning the sidelines as a NFL head coach for the first time in his career in 2019, and despite the fact he has an elite quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, there are plenty of question marks on this team moving forward.
