DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 7, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Russell Westbrook (at POR – $11,100): Needs 53.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 66.25 fantasy points against Minnesota. Westbrook has been all over the place lately but he’s played well against the Blazers this season, averaging 61.1 fantasy points in three games. But I don’t exactly trust the Thunder right now. Westbrook is always a triple-double threat and has the highest ceiling of anyone else on the night. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Damian Lillard (vs OKC – $8,100): Needs 39.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.5 fantasy points against Memphis. Lillard wasn’t great to end the Blazers long road trip but there’s reason to bounce back in this one. The Thunder defense has been a wreck lately and Lillard badly wants this win based on the mutual respect and rivalry he has with Westbrook. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Darren Collison (at MIL – $5,800): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34 fantasy points against Chicago. You can look at Eric Bledsoe in this spot. I expect him to bounce back given the matchup and the fact that this game should be competitive. But Collison is a more reliable option due to his salary and just how good he’s been for the Pacers since Oladipo’s injury. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Malcolm Brogdon (vs IND – $5,600): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.25 fantasy points against Phoenix. But an even more reliable option is Malcolm Brogdon. Longtime readers will know my love for Brogdon. He’s simply been outstanding this season and there is no reason to think he will fall off in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
