$10,000+

Dustin Johnson ($11,400)
As is typical, Dustin Johnson is already firing on all cylinders this season with five top-10 finishes in eight tournaments played, including two wins. Moreover, he won the WGC-Mexico Championship his last time out on the course on the PGA Tour. Having said that, Johnson has no top-10s at The Players Championship in his career, which makes him slightly risky at this price.

Justin Thomas ($11,100)
JT has four top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes already this season, though he finished T30 his last time out at The Honda Classic. His putting has been hit-or-miss from round-to-round so far this year, but a strong history at Sawgrass, including going T11 last year, works in his favor.

Rory McIlroy ($10,800)
People have been critical of McIlroy because he’s not been able to win yet this season, but it’s hard to not take a guy whose worst finish in his last five tournaments was a T6 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week. He struggled at The Players last year, but historically has been solid at Sawgrass.

Tiger Woods ($10,500)
Tiger hasn’t been otherworldly this season just yet, but he’s not finished outside the top 20 in any of his four starts. The way he’s playing to this point this season makes him an intriguing option at Sawgrass, but the neck injury that caused him to withdraw last week at the Arnold Palmer gives me pause.

Justin Rose ($10,200)
After his red-hot 2018 season and then a great start to the new season, it appeared that Justin Rose was a shoo-in every time he went on the course. However, he was cut at the Saudi International in late January and then was abysmal on the weekend at the Arnold Palmer. That makes him a tricky call at The Players Championship.

Brooks Koepka ($10,000)
Despite missing the cut at the Arnold Palmer, Koepka has played Sawgrass well in the last three years with three-straight top-25 finishes in The Players. With three top-10s and a win already to his credit this season, he might be a nice high-dollar play on DraftKings this week that won’t completely break the bank.
