49. . Tight End. Iowa. T.J. Hockenson. 12. player

The Green Bay Packers have been very active in free agency so far this offseason, adding some quality edge rushers to the fold. While I originally had them selecting Rashan Gary with the pick, up until Tuesday, the change was made to the tight end position, where the Packers have their biggest need.

During the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson showed himself to be one of the better athletes in this draft, and he could end up being a top-10 pick. With the Packers taking care of some of their weaknesses via free agency, Hockenson would be a great addition, and they need a security blanket for Aaron Rodgers in the passing game.

The Green Bay Packers hold two first round picks this April, and Hockenson may be too good a prospect to pass up at No. 12. He showed during his time at Iowa that he is not only a tremendous blocker, but someone who can make all the catches, and Rodgers is at his best with a pass-catching tight end.

Green Bay has a new head coach in the fold this season, as Matt LaFleur will replace Mike McCarthy, who was fired during the 2018 NFL season.. He has some solid talent on both sides of the ball to work with, and are a couple pieces away from challenging in the NFC North next season.
