Sadio Mane (Liverpool)

Another Senegalese player could be in Zidane’s crosshairs. The Liverpool winger has gotten Zidane’s attention in the past and he’s likely to spend the time and money to get his man.

Mane would be a potential replacement for Gareth Bale. This all depends on whether Liverpool are willing to part with one of their star players come the end of the season. Real tried to sign Mane once Lopetegui took over, but to no avail.

Mane has emerged under Jurgen Klopp has one of the world’s best wingers. His ability to come off the wing and score goals will also be a valuable asset to a club still trying to fill the goalscoring void left by the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

At age 26, Mane is right in the middle of his prime. That, combined with his obvious quality, will make a hugely expensive signing, and it’s hard to say how big the offer would have to be to persuade Liverpool to say yes.

However, given Real’s long-standing interest in the player, and Liverpool’s track record of selling even their best players for the right price, a sale isn’t totally out of the question. If it did go through, Mane would immediately improve Real’s team.
