Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

Real’s interest in Eden Hazard, or at least Hazard’s interest in Real, is one of the worst kept secrets in soccer.

The Belgian international is 28, and this summer may be his last opportunity to force a move to a club of Real’s stature. He mostly plays of the left wing for Chelsea, but has also occasionally been used to good effect as a false 9. He doesn’t bring the pure goalscoring Los Blancos need, but few in the world are more dangerous off the dribble, and he’s succeeded at Chelsea even when they’ve lacked a good number 9.

His 13 goals in 25 Premier League games this season are a demonstration that he can still put up good numbers, although he has expressed frustration this season. His 11 assists, however, are what are most likely to capture Real’s attention.

The talented midfielder is likely to command a high price, but Real shouldn’t be afraid of shelling out lots of money in order to form a winning roster. Hazard is the type of player who could help Real Madrid get better in a very short amount of time.
