SEC Baseball: Power rankings after Week 1 of SEC play
The Florida Gators got off to a slow start to begin the 2019 season, but they seemed to had corrected things before they welcomed the Mississippi State Bulldogs to Gainesville this past weekend. After losing two of three to the Bulldogs, questions about whether or not this young team will be able to compete among the elite will remain. They have talent, but the lack of experience could make it difficult to compete in the SEC in 2019.
The Vanderbilt Commodores got off to a rough start in the 2019 SEC portion of their schedule. They have played some tough opponents so far, but the Commodores dropped two of three to the Aggies. This team might be the most talented in the country, so expect them to bounce back in the coming weeks. Their series this weekend against the Florida Gators could determine which team will be able to compete for an SEC East title.
The LSU Tigers have had their ups and downs so far in the 2019 season. They have the talent to win the SEC and make it all the way to Omaha. The Tigers got off to a good start in SEC play by sweeping the Kentucky Wildcats. Making sure that continues as the SEC competition stiffens is the key for LSU.
