4. TWO Women’s division angles???

No action in the women’s division this week, but we did get two promos in one segment furthering two nascent angles. First, Toni Storm addressed Jinny’s assertions from last week that she doesn’t care about Storm, all she cares about is the NXT UK Women’s title, which is just a little confusing because Storm holds that particular title, so she should probably be concerned with Storm if she’s going to be concerned about the title. It’s the standard “she hates me because I exhibit hard work and determination to get where I want, and she’s been handed everything” promo, but it gets the job done in furthering the story towards an eventual match between the two for the title.

Rhea Ripley then walks in and, after a brief stare down with Storm in the NXT UK stairwell, demands the cameras keep rolling. Since no one is going to be the one to deny Ripley a request, we get to see Ripley’s formal reply to Xia Brookside calling her a bully who will get what’s coming to her. Not much to it, but Ripley calls Brookside a rodent and basically makes it clear that she can expect a beatdown in the near future.

NXT UK is out here running two angles for its women’s division, one of which doesn’t even concern the champion. Meanwhile main roster WWE 1) can’t get out of its own way in booking what should have been a layup WrestleMania match on RAW, 2) has seemingly forgotten all about its champion on SmackDown, and 3) trots Lacey Evans out twice weekly to do literally nothing.
