High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

DeMar DeRozan (at HOU – $9,000): Needs 37.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46 fantasy points against Miami. You can spend all your money on Harden and hope he hits big. And he’ll probably hit big because he’s James Harden. But DeRozan is playing well right now and had 56.4 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 22 in their last meeting. DeRozan’s ceiling isn’t as high as Harden’s, obviously, but he can have a big game at a more affordable price. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

D’Angelo Russell (at LAL – $8,900): Needs 37.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 73.8 fantasy points against Sacramento. But here’s who I really love on Friday. Russell is back to All-Star form and now he gets a wounded Lakers team. And he’s petty enough to still want revenge against them. He had just 45.3 fantasy points against them on Dec. 18. He’ll be much better in this game. Expect him to deliver huge. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Khris Middleton (vs MIA – $8,000): Needs 33.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.9 fantasy points against Cleveland. With no Giannis, Middleton becomes the 1A option next to Bledsoe. And he’s been delivering, going over 45 fantasy points in his last two games. Miami can be a tough team but the Bucks have the shooting to hurt them and they aren’t afraid to shoot it. Middleton is a reliable option if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
