2. Jawaan Taylor

While Williams stock has been dropping since the Combine, Taylor has managed to move up and usurp him to become the consensus top tackle prospect in the draft. Quite a few teams picking ahead of Denver have strong interest in the former Florida star, but it’s not inconceivable that he could fall this far.

If he is on the board at No. 10, he could give the Broncos a really interesting decision to make. It’s very possible Elway and his front office will decide that the value isn’t right to take a quarterback at this position. On the other end of that spectrum, grabbing the best tackle in this class at No. 10 would be a very strong value play.

Inevitably, Broncos fans reading this will claim the James signing should take them out of the running for Taylor. That’s just not true. James got a big contract largely because of the lack of free agent talent at the position. His ceiling is slightly above average. Taylor has Pro Bowl level talent.

Admittedly, Denver might not want to draft a guy this high who might not start for them immediately, but Taylor’s value could be too much to pass up if he’s still on the board when Denver makes their first selection.
