4. The Dusty Classic Finals

The finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finally took place tonight in the main event of the show. Ricochet and Aleister Black defeated the Forgotten Sons to win the Dusty Classic. This was hands down the Forgotten Sons’ best performance since being coming together on NXT and  it might be hard to forget about that tag team going forward.

This was a fantastic matchup, with all four men putting on a tag team clinic that had the crowd at Full Sail on the edge of their seats for a majority of the bout. The finish saw Ryker get ejected from ringside after pushing Black’s foot off the ropes. Once he was ejected, Black and Ricochet made quick work of the Forgotten Sons by hitting Black Mass followed by a 630 to Cutler to pick up the victory.

Confetti rained down from the ceiling as Black and Ricochet celebrated, but they didn’t have much time to take in the moment as the current NXT tag team champions, The War Raiders, made their way to the ring and confronted the Dusty Classic winners.

The War Raiders raised their titles in the air and the four men stared each other down as NXT went off the air. It was a great visual to end the show on and these two teams will go to war in Brooklyn for the NXT tag team titles. Pun most certainly intended.
