1. Brian Burns

Guys like Ferrell and Wilkins may not over enough upside for the Falcons at No. 14, but Burns definitely has the ability to develop into an All-Pro edge rusher. The question about his game is whether or not his floor is high enough to merit a pick this high.

Quinn seems like a coach who is willing to gamble on athleticism and talent. Burns certainly has plenty of that to spare. His collegiate tape at FSU isn’t nearly as consistent as you’d like to see from a potential first rounder, but the highlights are jaw-dropping.

He ran an excellent 4.53 40 at the Combine and his film might even be a little faster than that. In addition to his foot speed, he also flashes a ton of bend when he’s trying to get around offensive tackles on the outside. If Quinn and his staff can harness all of his God-given abilities they could have an immense player on their hands.

Teams picking before the Falcons will certainly scout Burns extensively, but his inconsistency might allow him to drop this far on Draft day. If he does, look for the Falcons to snap him up without a moment’s hesitation.
