4. Burnley edge closer to safety with win at Bournemouth

One of the biggest Premier League matches this weekend involves Burnley as they travel to Bournemouth looking to edge closer to Premier League safety. Bournemouth don’t have a great deal to play for as it’s highly unlikely they’ll be relegated and all they can do now is obtain a top half finish.

That doesn’t mean that the Cherries won’t go out to win this match but it could mean that Burnley have a little more fight about them. Sean Dyche will know that a win this weekend will give his side a very good chance of survival.

The Burnley players and fans should fancy their chances in this match too after they demolished Bournemouth 4-0 earlier on in the season. It’s unlikely they’ll produce a similar scoreline this time round but any kind of win would be huge for Burnley.

The Clarets have only won one of their last five matches but that came last weekend in an impressive 2-0 win over Wolves. Not many sides have managed to deny Wolves a goal this season, never mind actually beating them

Burnley will keep this match tight and even though Bournemouth’s rapid attack will cause them problems, the Clarets are defensively sound enough to manage to hold out long enough to mount attacks of their own.

Bournemouth aren’t great defensively and they will afford Burnley opportunities to score. If Burnley can keep this at 0-0 for more than 30 minutes then they will come out on top in this matchup.

Bournemouth are about two or three more good players away from becoming a side that really challenges the top half of the table. However, for now what they are doing in this league is extremely impressive considering the size of the club.
