1) Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

This is a tough one to peg. A great number of NFL evaluators and insider experts believe the LSU standout is a top prospect at the position; even the top according to some.

But the same number of people also seem to believe that he’s a gamble at the bottom of the first, and that the former first team All-American fits better in terms of value at the top of the second round.

Williams is a fast player (4.37, 40), who has good NFL size for the position (5-foot-11 and185 pounds). However, he also lacks quick burst ability, has trouble being physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage and is a weak tackler at the point of attack. He also doesn’t add much value in the running game. This may not tremendously hurt his value but may be a tiebreaker for some when comparing to Byron Murphy and/or Deandre Baker.

Williams could wind up as the top corner in the draft and go as high as No. 13 or 14 to the Miami Dolphins or Atlanta Falcons, respectively. He could also be the fourth or fifth corner off the board on draft day.

Where he ultimately ends up going is anyone’s guess. But Williams could be in line for a long wait in The Music City.
