- High School: Thomas Dale
- Composite Ranking: No. 30, No. 1 APB
- Interested Programs: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Alabama, Boston College
He might not be the biggest back in the world, but Chris Tyree is certainly one of the most explosive high school athletes when he hits the field. The 5’9″ and 178 pound running back is swift and can be tough for anyone to catch.
He’s a perfect fit for the college game as he’s fast, can catch the ball and is incredibly elusive. He might not be called on to do much blocking because of his frame, but he’s going to be a nightmare for anyone that has to match up against him.
Tyree has run a 4.38 40-yard dash which gives him top end speed. He’s rushed for over 1,000 yards each of the last two seasons at Thomas Dale and saw a major upswing in production this past year.
Penn State would be an interesting fit given some of the major defensive lines that play in the Big Ten Conference. Still, between Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders, the Nittany Lions have proven to be great at developing the position.
Prediction: Penn State
