2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa kick things off
Seattle moves back into the first round thanks to the Frank Clark trade with Kansas City. Taking someone like Greedy Williams could be tempting here since pairing him with Byron Murphy creates a dynamic defensive back duo that could become one of the most feared secondaries in the league.
But Deionte Thompson is hard to pass on. Thompson has a lot of the same abilities as Earl Thomas. Both are fast and have a knack for the ball. Thompson may not have the upside of Thomas but he might already be better than Tedric Thompson or Delano Hill and that would be an improvement for Seattle.
Aaron Rodgers isn’t getting any younger. After landing Clelin Ferrell with the No. 12 selection, the Packers hop to the offensive side and take A.J. Brown out of Ole Miss. While Brown’s teammate D.K. Metcalf has been getting most of the publicity, Brown was the better player throughout his time with the Rebels, amassing 1,320 yards and six touchdowns on 85 receptions in 2018.
The addition of Brown gives Green Bay a terrific combination on the outside, pairing him with DeVante Adams. The Packers will have their choice of receivers here, ranging from Brown and Kelvin Harmon to N’Keal Harry and others.
