17. “Latino Heat” Eddie Guerrero

Greatest entrance:
Event: WWE SmackDown
Date: November 11, 2005
Venue: Conseco Field House, Indianapolis, IN
Theme Used: “Lie, Cheat, Steal” by Jim Johnston

Coming in at No. 17 is none other than “Latino Heat” himself, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Guerrero.

While an amazing performer in both ECW and WCW, his entrances in those companies never really matched his in-ring style. But during his time in the WWE, Guerrero found himself a new character, “Latino Heat,” who wanted to do nothing other than lie, cheat and steal. He adopted an amazing Low Rider entrance and after that point, there was no looking back.

His career reached a pinnacle in WWE at No Way Out 2004 in the Cow Palace in Daily City, California where he defeated Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion. It was a result that no one saw coming on the road to WrestleMania XX and reinforced the slogan that WWE popularized in the 1990s that “anything could happen” in the WWE.

Unfortunately, Guerrero was taken from us all way too soon in November 2005. His death rocked the wrestling industry and it can be said that the WWE Universe and professional wrestling fans alike are still not over his untimely death. One could only imagine all the dream matches we have missed over the years since “Latino Heat” as no longer been with us. His name is still chanted at WWE events when a Frog Splash or Three Amigos are hit. In the hearts of the WWE Universe, Guerrero will live forever.
