High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

D’Angelo Russell (at PHI – $8,100): Needs 38 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.75 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Russell is a guy who stepped up in Game 4 and I expect him to keep it in an elimination game. We know Russell has a high ceiling but DeRozan might be slightly more reliable. Unless you don’t trust DeRozan in an important playoff game. And I wouldn’t blame you. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $7,300): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. One guy who I do trust is CJ McCollum. I fully trust the Blazers on Tuesday. They are going to clamp up OKC and probably make it look easy. Not that OKC will roll over, but they just have no answers for Portland and haven’t won a road playoff game since 2016. McCollum has killed OKC all series and really his whole career. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Caris LeVert (at PHI – $5,900): Needs 27 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. LeVert has been good more often than not during these playoffs. And he remains at a good salary despite his big-time production. There’s a chance he bottoms out but I will continue to trust him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Gary Harris (vs SA – $5,100): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.5 fantasy points against San Antonio. Harris has played well enough in the playoffs and he’s been even better at home. I expect him to step up in a big way against the Spurs in Game 5. Harris is a guy that I don’t worry about when it comes to the Nuggets. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
