High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs GS – $10,000): Needs 44.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 13.1 fantasy points against Golden State. SAG’s minutes were down in the last game and that is a bit concerning. We know he has a high ceiling but guys can’t produce from the bench. I still like SAG’s ceiling but there is some better value below him. Of course, if he ends up getting the minutes, look out. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (at LAC – $11,000): Needs 47.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.6 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Klay has been more bad than good in this series but we know that he can get hot at any moment. And he has a habit of getting hot when it’s Game 6. Again, this feels like a Splash Brothers game more than a Durant game. Expect Klay to show up. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (at LAC – $9,000): Needs 38.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.8 fantasy points against LA Clippers. I like Iguodala more than someone like SAG because I know the minutes are going to be there for Iguodala. SAG has the higher ceiling but Iggy is the more reliable guy because he’s going to play big minutes and find a way to contribute. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
