High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kawhi Leonard (vs PHI – $8,400): Needs 38.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.25 fantasy points against Orlando. Kawhi averaged 53.3 fantasy points in three games against the Sixers this season. That’s pretty good. I absolutely love him in this game and series because he’s the best player on the floor. Sorry, Joel Embiid. He can do a bit of everything and he’s a proven playoff performer. He will get it done in this matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMar DeRozan (at DEN – $7,500): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.75 fantasy points against Denver. DeRozan has been good in this series and I know we’re all waiting for the other shoe to drop. But it’s the Spurs. You just can’t doubt the Spurs when it comes to maximizing talent. And say what you will about DeRozan, he’s a talented player. He’s still a risk because it’s Game 7 DeRozan. But he’s a proven scorer who can do other things. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (at DEN – $5,300): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.5 fantasy points against Denver. Gay has been all over the place this series but as always, we know he can score the basketball and he typically gets enough minutes to do other things. The salary might be a tad too high just because of his inconsistency. But weird things happen in Game 7. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Danny Green (vs PHI – $4,200): Needs 19.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.25 fantasy points against Orlando. The other strong option at this position is JJ Redick but he’s just not shooting all that well in recent contests and Green offers a better price. He plays a fairly consistent game and even though he doesn’t get the shots that Redick does, he is more consistent. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
