3. Buffalo Bills

The Bills drew a lot of attention in last year’s draft for betting big on Josh Allen at quarterback, but this year’s class escaped that same level of scrutiny. That’s because it was an excellent haul for the Buffalo front office.

Ed Oliver has some question marks about his makeup, but there’s no doubt about his talent level. He should turn into a disruptive force for the Bills as early as next season. Getting him at No. 9 was good value as well.

Lots of people thought Cody Ford was ticketed to be a first round pick so getting him in the early second was a coup. Devin Singletary and Dawson Knox both have their flaws, but each is going to give the Bills offense some real juice to work with in 2019.

Grabbing Vosean Joseph in the fifth round shouldn’t be overlooked. He doesn’t have Pro Bowl talent, but he has a solid chance to become a starter at outside linebacker early in his career. That’s great value on Day 3.

Even Tommy Sweeney has a chance to help this team and the Bills were able to grab him in Round 7. He looks bad in workouts, but his Boston College tape shows him to be a really good two-way tight end. Don’t count out the possibility that he can turn into a valuable weapon for Allen.
