High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kawhi Leonard (vs PHI – $9,000): Needs 41.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 69.75 fantasy points against Philadelphia. As I said prior to Game 1, Kawhi is the best player in this series and he showed it in Game 1. I love Kawhi in this series because the Sixers don’t have the best of defenses and Kawhi gets finds a way anyway. He should continue to dominate this series because that’s what the best player does. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Ben Simmons (at TOR – $7,700): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.75 fantasy points against Toronto. And on the other side of things, there’s Ben Simmons. His salary has dropped, which is good news. And I expect the Sixers to be better in Game 2. But I simply don’t like Simmons in this matchup due to his limitations and the Raptors defense. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Al-Farouq Aminu (at DEN – $4,300): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.75 fantasy points against San Antonio. Aminu was a reliable option in the Thunder series and he was great against the Nuggets in the regular season, averaging 35.9 fantasy points in four games. Maybe this is his matchup. He’s at a great salary given his minutes and chances. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Danny Green (vs PHI – $4,000): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 12.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Green wasn’t much of a factor in Game 1 but we know he can contribute in more ways. And the minutes are certainly there for him. Will Barton is about the only other option worth considering at this spot but I like Green a bit more just because of his overall game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
