FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 29, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (at DEN – $10,000): Needs 44 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 73.4 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. This is Damian Lillard’s playoffs and we’re just watching. The Nuggets will have a better game plan for him than the Thunder but I’m not doubting this version of Lillard. He’s at another level right now. Diagnosis: Very. Reliable with a high ceiling.
Ben Simmons (at TOR – $9,400): Needs 41.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.3 fantasy points against Toronto. I still don’t like Ben Simmons in this matchup because he can’t shoot and he has to deal with Kawhi and Siakam. He’ll be better as they’ll adjust and get Simmons better look. But the salary is still a tad high until he proves more. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Jamal Murray (vs POR – $7,700): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34 fantasy points against San Antonio. I’m not in love with Blazers defense despite what they did against the Thunder. That’s more on the Thunder. The Nuggets have a better offense and Murray is a better shooter than Westbrook. He’ll get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs PHI – $7,500): Needs 33 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.6 fantasy points against Philadelphia. We’re going with no value players because there’s just not much there unless you want to go with Fred VanVleet. Lowry wasn’t great in Game 1 as it was the Kawhi and Siakam show. Maybe Lowry can pick it up. The minutes and opportunities will be there. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
