High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Kyrie Irving (at MIL – $9,600): Needs 42.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.9 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I’m always going to trust Kyrie in the playoffs because he has proven that he can get it done in a big way in the playoffs. He might have a rough game because good players are prone to rough games. But on a night to night basis, few are as good and consistent as Kyrie when it comes to putting up numbers in the playoffs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Stephen Curry (vs HOU – $9,000): Needs 39.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.4 fantasy points against Houston. Maybe it’s the ankle injury. Maybe it’s the Rockets defense. Maybe it’s the Warriors game plan. Whatever it is, Curry wasn’t quite himself in Game 1. But he’s still Steph Curry and he can get hot at any moment. His salary has dropped and he’ll get you some numbers, it’s just a matter of how points he’s going to score. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Chris Paul (at GS – $8,200): Needs 35.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.6 fantasy points against Golden State. Expect Chris Paul to be better in this game. He’s too good to be held to the numbers he was held to in Game 1, even if the Rockets offense is having a rough time in recent weeks. Paul will bounce back in Game 2 with a strong outing. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Terry Rozier (at MIL – $4,300): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.3 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I don’t know what it is but it’s obvious that Rozier has it going against the Bucks and Eric Bledsoe just can’t figure things out. He’s not getting many minutes but he doesn’t need many minutes to get the better of Bledsoe. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
