High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (at GS – $11,800): Needs 50.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 53.8 fantasy points against Golden State. Harden is having a rough shooting stretch but he’s still a reliable option. That said, you need more from him at this salary. He can deliver. We know he can deliver. But it’s becoming a bit worrisome with his shooting struggles in the playoffs. And we know he has a habit of tough shooting in the playoffs. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Khris Middleton (vs BOS – $7,500): Needs 32.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35 fantasy points against Boston. Middleton always seems to play well against the Celtics and Game 1 was no exception. The Bucks will be better in Game 2. That’s how the playoffs go, especially when you’re dealing with the absolute best teams. And with everyone else being better, Middleton will continue to be a reliable option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Andre Iguodala (vs HOU – $5,700): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.8 fantasy points against Houston. Iguodala may have been slightly under value in Game 1 but I’m not worried about him. He’s a reliable option. You can always go with Klay Thompson, who has the higher ceiling, but Iguodala isn’t so reliant on his scoring as he contributes in other ways. He’ll be consistent in this series. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Eric Gordon (at GS – $5,500): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.8 fantasy points against Golden State. Gordon is always going to have a high ceiling and a low floor just due to how the Rockets play. He showed off his ceiling in Game 1. It would not surprise me if he struggles in Game 2. But the minutes and opportunities are going to be there for him without question. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
