New England Patriots: Tom Brady and N’Keal Harry

“Touchdown, N’Keal Harry” is a saying that fans should get used to hearing next season. Harry is the type of red zone threat that Tom Brady has been lacking since the days of Randy Moss. Brady is already expressing his excitement to pair up with N’Keal Harry. His college highlights are filled with one-handed catches, toe-tappers and getting physical with defenders to haul in big-time catches. His big-play potential is outstanding and he looks to be a dominant receiver for years to come.

On top of that, his post-draft interview sounds like it was taken directly out of the Patriots PR playbook. In it, he stayed humble and said “I have so much to learn, I have so much to handle coming into the game, coming into the NFL. It’s all on what the coaches want from me.” This seems to be exactly what Coach Belichick wants to hear from players coming out of the NFL Draft and likely weighed into the team’s decision to choose him with their first-round pick.

On top of that, his list of pre-draft strengths seem to fit in perfectly with the New England mindset. NFL.com listed one of his strengths as “Junkyard dog who is willing to scrap as a blocker.” This skill is incredibly valuable to the Patriot’s as it shows he will be willing to put in 100 percent effort on every play and not just passing downs. The analysts for The Draft Network raved about Harry’s hands and ability to make contested catches.

Overall, Harry seems like the perfect addition to the Patriot’s offense and he will be a much needed receiving threat following the retirement of Rob Gronkowski. Patriot’s fans should be delighted with the draft pick and the name N’Keal Harry could become a household name by the end of the 2019-2020 NFL season.
