Tua Tagovailoa – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As of now Tua Tagovailoa sits at the top of everyone’s draft board. The man out of Alabama has completely dominated throughout his time as starting quarterback, and it is almost a guarantee that he plays out of this world again this year. While there will probably be a number of teams interested in drafting him next year, it is more than likely that he will go to whoever own the first pick in the draft. Whether that be through trading up for the pick, or just the worst team deciding to take him, Tagovailoa should be the first player off the board on draft night in 2020.

While some may expect the Dolphins to #TankForTua, with the acquisition of Rosen, the Dolphins may not be setting themselves up to take Tua anymore. However, there is another team in the state of Florida that could be in the perfect position to nab Tua. Every year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem like they have the potential to break out, but they never seem to be able to do so.

Back in 2015, the Buccaneers took Jameis Winston with the first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, four years later, the Bucs still haven’t made the playoffs and made a name for themselves. With Winston about to enter his fifth season as the starting quarterback in Tampa, if he is unable to perform at a high level yet again, it may prompt the Bucs to make a move to get rid of him and start afresh.

Bruce Arians came back to coach the Bucs this season, and if he sees Winston struggling and losing games again, it would not be a surprise if he chooses to pick his own quarterback to move forward with. If Winston cannot make the next step in his fifth year, it may be a sign that he just is not working out in Tampa.

It may not only be beneficial to Tampa, but also to Winston to get to a new place and see if he can win wherever that may be. With the Bucs in a prime position to be aggressive next year, do not be surprised if they make a bold move to bring Tua to Tampa.
