DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 6, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Kyrie Irving (vs MIL – $8,200): Needs 38.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.75 fantasy points against Milwaukee. The Celtics have been all over the place in this series but I fully expect to see Kyrie’s best effort in this game. I just can’t see the Celtics dropping two straight in Boston. At least not two straight blowouts. The game will be competitive and Kyrie will do his part. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Chris Paul (vs GS – $6,800): Needs 32.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38 fantasy points against Golden State. Paul has been fine in this series. If you want to take a low-risk option with a good ceiling who is definitely going to get you value, you can do a lot worse than Chris Paul. But expecting something more out of him right now does seem a bit foolish. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
George Hill (at BOS – $3,900): Needs 18 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.5 fantasy points against Boston. Hill has played fairly well in this series and he’s getting minutes, which is obviously an important part of getting numbers. With Malcolm Brogdon still out, Hill has had to step up. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Austin Rivers (vs GS – $3,400): Needs 15.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16 fantasy points against Golden State. Rivers isn’t putting up huge numbers but he’s getting minutes and finding a way to make an impact. He’s earned the trust of D’Antoni which means he will remain on the floor. He’s a nice cost saving option and could hit. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
