High Salary Guards

Players costing over $12,000

Stephen Curry (vs POR – $17,000): Needs 68.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 55.7 fantasy points against Portland. If you’re taking Curry, he should definitely be in your top 2. And it’s never a bad idea to take the best player on the court. The Blazers will adjust and make things more difficult on Curry but he’s always in a rhythm when Durant is out there and there’s only so much Portland will be able to do. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Damian Lillard (at GS – $16,000): Needs 64.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.8 fantasy points against Golden State. The Blazers have to figure out something but I’m not sure if they can because the Nuggets did this to Lillard all series and not many adjustments were made. He’ll be better but the Warriors are simply a tough task in the playoffs, even without Durant. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs POR – $13,000): Needs 52.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.7 fantasy points against Portland. As always, with Durant out, Thompson becomes the second option and he’s a strong second-option. He didn’t even shoot well in Game 1 but still had a big impact. Expect him to be just as good if not better in Game 2. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
