High Salary Guards

Players costing over $8,333

Kyle Lowry (at MIL – $8,800): Needs 39 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.25 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Kyle Lowry back. As always, he’s been a consistent option in the playoffs despite everyone knocking the guy. With Kawhi hobbled, Lowry stepped up in Game 4. The Bucks will adjust and the series changes from game to game. But Lowry is there when you need him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Malcolm Brogdon (vs TOR – $7,000): Needs 31 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.75 fantasy points against Toronto. Despite his poor outing in Game 4, I’m not worried about Brogdon. He’s a consistent player and he’ll bounce back in Game 5 with the Bucks back at home. Give him the opportunity to bounce back on the lesser salary and you’ll thank yourself. And me. Give thanks to me. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Khris Middleton (vs TOR – $9,400): Needs 40.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50 fantasy points against Toronto. Middleton was fantastic in Game 4 and that’s of course what he’s always capable of. He’s not a guy you typically worry about although now his salary has jumped in a big way and that makes him a tougher sell and tougher to fit into your lineup. You’ll have decisions to make if you take him but there is plenty of value in this series with both benches. Diagnosis: Ver reliable with a good ceiling.
