High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

Serge Ibaka (vs GS – $8,000): Needs 31.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11.1 fantasy points against Golden State. Powell doesn’t look like he’s going to get the minutes in this series while Ibaka will play some minutes and there’s always one big Serge Ibaka game lurking in the playoffs. There aren’t many great frontcourt options as DeMarcus Cousins is the only person worth taking a look at and he may not get the minutes once again. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at TOR – $10,500): Needs 41 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.1 fantasy points against Toronto. As I said prior to Game 1, the Raptors frontcourt is a different beast than the Blazers frontcourt. And Looney found that out in a big way as he wasn’t effective against Siakam as he was against Myers Leonard. He will continue to get the minutes but this salary is a tad too high given the matchup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs GS – $10,000): Needs 37.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.9 fantasy points against Golden State. It was pretty smart of the Raptors to save Gasol until the playoffs before unleashing him. As ineffective as he was in the regular season after the trade, he’s been great in the playoffs. He’s a good PRO pick if you’re going to take him because he’s been a reliable option for the majority of the playoffs. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
