DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – June 7, 2019
High Value Guards
Players costing under $8,333
Fred VanVleet (at GS – $6,000): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.25 fantasy points against Golden State. VanVleet continues to remain a steady option. He’s going to keep getting the minutes and opportunities and so as long as those are there, he’s a good option. He’s not a bad captain pick as well due to his cost and his usual effectiveness. Until you see him fall off, you can keep taking him with confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Quinn Cook (vs TOR – $3,000): Needs 12.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.25 fantasy points against Toronto. If Klay doesn’t play again, they’ll need Cook to keep contributing on the offensive end. Livingston might draw the start but Cook has the higher ceiling due to his scoring. It’s not that his ceiling is all that high but he can hit shots and the Warriors need people who can hit shots. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Danny Green (at GS – $4,800): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.25 fantasy points against Golden State. Green is who he is. He’s going to get the minutes due to his defense and it’s just a matter of him making shots. He made shots in Game 3. Can he make shots in Game 4? Who knows. In the words of Carmelo Anthony, “you can’t control if the ball goes in.” He’s a sneaky captain pick due to his salary. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
