High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Fred VanVleet (at GS – $9,500): Needs 34.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.6 fantasy points against Golden State. VanVleet has continued his strong run, even if his numbers were still technically down in Game 3. But the minutes and opportunities will continue to be there for him. Not much has changed with VanVleet and maybe you think he finally falls off. It could certainly happen. But the chances will continue to be there for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (vs TOR – $10,000): Needs 37.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.7 fantasy points against Toronto. Iguodala’s role changes if KD and Klay are in the lineup. Even if Klay is in the lineup, Iguodala’s role changes. The minutes and opportunities will be there for him and if you can find the extra $500, I like Iguodala over VanVleet in this one given that the Warriors are down and will make the proper adjustments to get Iguodala more involved. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Danny Green (at GS – $7,500): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Green had it going in Game 3 and that’s really the story of Danny Green. As I mentioned prior to Game 3, he’s going to get minutes due to his defense and it’s really a matter of him knocking down shots on the offensive end because that’s where you make people money in DFS. Nothing has changed with Green, it’s just a matter of you trusting him enough to hit shots. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
