4. Minnesota Twins

The Twins are continuing to get the best Jake Odorizzi has to offer, with an AL-leading 1.92 ERA after another nice outing against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. But Martin Perez has started to show some cracks lately (9.82 ERA over his last two starts), Kyle Gibson has been typically up-and-down on his way to a 4.14 ERA thus far and Michael Pineda has a 5.34 ERA.

The Twins were reportedly in on Craig Kimbrel until the end, and the bullpen is a clear need area (Matt McGill and his current 6.60 ERA is pitching entirely too much). But the starting pitching could be bolstered too, with Pineda the easy odd-man out if an acquisition is made.

The Indians may have no desire to trade anyone to the division rival they’re trying to chase, and effectively raise the white flag on 2019 as a result. But the Twins should have some interest in Kluber right now, as they mine the broader trade market for a veteran starter.
