After watching the surprise trailer for a sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, here’s some speculation on what may happen in the game.

Going into E3 2019, there was a ton of hope from fans everywhere about Nintendo possibly revealing a new Zelda game. There were only two options: Either the focus for the Zelda series would go to the remake of Link’s Awakening, or it would announce something entirely new. Turns out it was both. But, nobody really expected the new would be a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild is credited for reinventing the Zelda series. Although it’s more of a return to form since the first game has a similar, unconventional open world feel, a game like Breath of the Wild hasn’t been made for the newer generation of consoles, let alone the series, at least of this caliber. With the expansive and gorgeous world players play in, Nintendo has plenty of room to continue working in this world and adding new locations and a new story to it. A sequel definitely makes sense.

There are a ton of questions, however. But, we’ll get into that, along with some predictions and speculation.
