Players costing under $8,333

Fred VanVleet (at GS – $6,600): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.5 fantasy points against Golden State. VanVleet has been down in the last two games but the minutes and opportunities will continue to be there for him. For some reason, I have a good feeling about VanVleet. I don’t quite know what it is. Could be the Taco Bell again. This just feels like a strong VanVleet game to me. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (vs TOR – $4,800): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.25 fantasy points against Toronto. If you’re trying to decide between Iguodala and Green, there’s really not much of a decision. Iguodala is slightly more costly but he’s also the more reliable option. And he even has a higher ceiling because he can do more than Green. He’ll get you what you need and then a little something more. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Danny Green (at GS – $4,400): Needs 18.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11.75 fantasy points against Golden State. Green is at a great salary given his minutes and the shots he gets. He’s been cold in the last couple of games but that’s just how it goes with him. The minutes will be there with his defense but he needs to knock down a couple of shots to boost his value. He won’t hurt you much at this salary and makes for a good enough captain’s pick. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
