Or — continuing the thread of our last section — Xia Brookside should try to become No. 1 contender to the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

Toni Storm gives an interview where she sounds completely insane — a pretty intriguing development if it becomes a thing — and is asked what’s next for her as she’s thus far defeated all challengers. What’s next (surprise) is to keep defending her “Shiny-Shiny” against all comers because there’s actually still quite a number of women who haven’t received a title shot.

Maybe that’s a lot of pressure, but Storm doesn’t care. She likes the pressure, she likes the “wild side,” whatever that means. And if any of the women on the roster — Kay Lee Ray included — want to book a little Toni Time, they know where to find her. She’ll be stuck in a never-ending of loop of giving backstage interviews over what someone said about her, and then defending her title against that person every three-ish weeks. Until then however, “Shiny-Shiny” stays home where it belongs. Oh, the belt’s nickname is now “Shiny-Shiny,” pretty fun, no?

Related, a big match — both in terms of implications and number of participants — is announced for next week: a battle royal to determine the new No. 1 contender for “Shiny-Shiny,” a/k/a the NXT UK Women’s Championship. Honestly, it’s weak as hell that the men got several episodes towards their No. 1 contender fatal four-way, and with the women we’re just throwing them all of them out there at once and seeing what shakes out. Like, literally all of them. Every woman on the roster is in this thing, even previous Storm title match losers like Jinny, Nina Samuels and Rhea Ripley. Even Candy Floss!

Will the match be enjoyable and likely lead to a very good title match between Storm and Kay Lee Ray? Probably! Still, for all the development and deepening of the NXT UK women’s division that’s been going on, it’s disappointing.

Anyway, speaking of No. 1 Contenders, Travis Banks gets defined for us in a segment completely coincidentally called “Travis Banks: Defined”.

Tra·Vis Banks
/ˈtravis baNGks/
Proper noun

• a professional wrestler who is very laid back and chill outside the ring, but has a very high work ethic.

“Travis Banks is the No.1 Contender to the United Kingdom Championship.”
synonymsKiwi Buzzsaw

Basically, Banks has had some ups and downs to start his NXT UK career, but now it’s his moment to shine and he’s going to revel in it. Of course, beating WALTER for the United Kingdom Championship would be cool as well. Travis Banks: he too is a human with emotions, feel free to give him a cheer when he’s out there performing.
