It’s always fun when you can gauge what teams in the same conference are trying to do, let alone the same division and rivals. Washington State, Washington and Oregon are all in an arms race for the Pac-12 North.

Stanford is right there as well and every recruit is important for each program going forward. Washington State is coming off its best record in program history and they’re a legit power in the Pac-12 under Mike Leach.

That’s going to pay off for them in recruiting. Everyone in the Pac-12 and across the nation for that matter wants Calabasas wide receiver, Johnny Wilson.

The 6’6″ and 220-pound wide receiver is a physical freak that most defensive backs are going to have nightmares about. He essentially can’t be covered and he can go up to get any football thrown his way.

Everyone knows that Washington State thrives off airing out the football under Leach. Wilson’s a perfect target for any pass-happy offense.

It’s keeping him away from Oregon and Washington that makes him especially must-land in this scenario. If the Cougars can’t land him, they better hope he lands out of conference instead of having to play him on Saturday’s.
