Daniyel Ngata is one of the top all-purpose backs in the 2020 class. He can effectively run the ball while maintaining a role as a serious threat to catch the ball out of the backfield for any offense he’s thrown into.

At 5’9″ and 180 pounds, Ngata isn’t the biggest running back and isn’t going to be fed a heavy workload, but he can be a great complementary piece if used correctly and even maybe a feature in some offenses.

The Penn State Nittany Lions have churned out some incredible running backs recently. Both Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders have made name for themselves en route to being drafted in the NFL.

While they’re much bigger backs than Ngata, Penn State has shown they can create an offense where the running back can both run and catch the ball.

Ngata has an offer from the Nittany Lions. He’s only made one visit on record thus far but it’s a long road until 2020 and Penn State will have plenty of time to try and reel in this must-land product.

The consensus is that the race for Ngata is completely wide open at the moment. Penn State currently doesn’t have a running back commit for next year’s class. They’re going to need to add a couple of backs.
