Fantasy Football – The Top 5 Wide Receivers To Watch For (#3)

3. Odell Beckham Jr. (Cleveland Browns)

Boy, am I so excited for this Mayfield to OBJ connection this upcoming season! OBJ got a surprise send off from the New York Giants to kick off his off-season but now he gets to play with a young, gunning quarterback with Baker Mayfield. Being one of the more exciting receivers in the league, with some negative media attention, OBJ is always on the list of receivers to watch for. A lot of blame floated around in the New York Giants locker room but now Odell gets to play on a team that has been struggling for years but may finally be on the good side of the tracks.

Odell Beckham Jr. only played in 12 games last season and put up just 1,052 yards while finding the end-zone just 6 times. He averaged 88 yards per game with a catch rating of 63% while averaging 14 yards per catch. With OBJ having a full season this year with Baker Mayfield and in an entire full, healthy season, he can get back to the OBJ that fans once we overly excited for.

The Cleveland Browns shocked everyone last season when Baker Mayfield came in during week 3 and took over the offense like he has been there for years. The receiving core of Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. is already scary as is but plus their backfield, this could be a dangerous team. The backfield is set with Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson Jr. for the first 8 games is pretty solid but once Kareem Hunt returns from suspension, it’s even more scary. So mix all of those weapons together with Baker Mayfield and you have a Cleveland offense that can be very dangerous.
