Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FanDuel Main
OF – Franmil Reyes – San Diego Padres – $2,900
One thing I love about FanDuel is the fact that continue to price Franmil the G.O.A.T so dirt cheap, and yet still nobody plays him. I just talked about this in my big article for Best Balls on DRAFT, but in case you missed that I will reiterate the point here. Reyes went 0-for-4 last night with two strikeouts as the Padres had their hands full with Clayton Kershaw, but all of that and more makes Reyes a great target tonight against Kenta Maeda.
I love Maeda too, and we will get to him, but this is a clear one-off home run spot for Reyes. He has now gone two games without a home run, and his season total currently sits at 25, as he has five in his last eight games. It was long thought Reyes was going to be a lefty masher as he was in a platoon role last season facing mostly left-handed pitching, but getting the opportunity to play every day this season has proven just the opposite. 23 of his 25 homers are against right-handed pitching this season, and he also has a monster .326 ISO against them as well.
OF – Dominic Smith – New York Mets – $2,600
This is a FanDuel only play if I ever did see one. The Mets are in a great spot tonight Jake Arrieta but other than the ghost of Robinson Cano, they are pretty priced up on DraftKings tonight. He has hit a slight funk going 0-for his last nine, and he is still hit less in July.
However, $2,600 on FanDuel for a guy hitting .315 with eight home runs in limited action looks perfect to complete a Mets stack in a favorable spot. Smith will cost you a whopping $4,900 on DraftKings tonight. Yikes!
