4. Aaron Jones will rush for more than 1,000 yards

Rodgers is the star of the offense, but even he would love to have a quality running game to lean on. Jones has shown real flashes of quality in the Packers backfield, but LaFleur’s offensive system will give him a chance to really break out in 2019.

Jones could have easily gone over the 1,000 yard mark last season if he’d been given enough carries. He averaged an eye-popping 5.5 yards per carry in 2018. If LaFleur can get him at least 200 carries this season he’s got a chance to put up big numbers.

The key for Jones will be to earn his new coaching staff’s trust. That means he needs to do the little things required to be a quality starter in the NFL. He’s never going to be a great pass protector, but he has to give Rodgers a chance to avoid the blitz.

In reality, the biggest threat to Jones getting to 1,000 yards rushing is if he’s asked to shoulder too heavy of a load in the passing game. Don’t be surprised to see him catch quite a few balls this year too. Jones is going to be a big part of this offense in multiple ways.
