Fantasy Football Rankings – Pre-Draft Wide Receiver Rankings

25. Jarvis Landry (Cleveland Browns)

2018 Stats: 81 Receptions | 976 Yards | 4 TDs | 12 YPC

I think the majority of the NFL fans expected something bigger out of Jarvis Landry’s first season with the Cleveland Browns but were somewhat disappointed. Now with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr., who knows what we’ll get out of Landry. He had very small streaks of pretty good performances throughout the season but he could never stay consistent. Landry played in a large role of the snaps as he had a snap share of 92% which he played 59% out of the slot. and saw a target share of 26%. He ranked 25th in fantasy points at his position with 13.4 points per game. The Browns have some promise with this young and talented core but how will they all mesh together with the addition of OBJ?

24. Alshon Jeffery (Philadelphia Eagles)

2018 Stats: 65 Receptions | 843 Yards | 6 TDs | 15.8 YPC

The state of the current Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver core is just “blah”. The Eagles did re-sign DeSean Jackson but that doesn’t boost up the core all that much. Alshon Jeffery has some spark for the offense as he’ll most likely continue as the main target. He was in on 93% of the snaps taken on offense while holding just a 19% target share which jumped up to 33.3% with end-zone targets. Out of the 26 targets that were contested, Jeffery was able to snag the football in 57% of those also. Jeffery does have an ADP of 76 but even with that number it may be pushing it.

23. Sammy Watkins (Kansas City Chiefs)

2018 Stats: 40 Receptions | 519 Yards | 3 TDs | 13 YPC

While the crazy events are unfolding for Tyreke Hill and his status as a Chiefs receiver are determined, Sammy Watkins rolls in as the number one receiver for now (Kelce is arguably the main target but he’s a tight end). Watkins went out with a sprain after Week 11 of last season though so we have a small sample size of what he did. He was in for 71% of those snaps and played a good chunk out of the slot. He was not a target when it came to the end-zone as he only saw 7% of the shares. But Mahomes really has no choice but to go to Watkins as defenses will watch for Damien Williams and Travis Kelce heavily this season.

22. Mike Williams (Los Angeles Chargers)

2018 Stats: 43 Receptions | 664 Yards | 10 TDs | 15.4 YPC

Mike Williams showed up halfway through last season to dominate and to show he was another threat for the Los Angeles Chargers. He was ranked 40th at the wide receiver position in fantasy points by averaging 11.1 points per game. He played out of the slot for 23% of the 63% snaps he was involved in. He also held an impressive 27.3% end-zone target share while holding just a regular 13% target share in regular situations. Mike Williams is a great WR2 this season and he does currently hold a 69 ADP.

21. Tyler Boyd (Cincinnati Bengals)

2018 Stats: 76 Receptions | 1,028 Yards | 7 TDs | 13.5 YPC

Tyler Boyd had to step up last season after A.J. Green was shut down with his toe sprain and he did not disappoint. He ranked 20th for fantasy points while averaging 15.8 points per game. Boyd had 6 of his 16 games where he scored 10 points or less and finished off his season with a great showing. He was involved in 89% of the snaps and 67% of those come while he was in the slot position. He was also holding a target share of 22% but his end-zone targets sat at 11%. Boyd may be one to grab sooner rather then later if he does fall in your drafts.
