Fantasy Football Rankings- Pre-Draft Wide Receiver Rankings

Welcome back ladies and gents! We’re back with some more pre-draft fantasy football rankings and this time we’re targeting the Wide Receiver position! I’m only covering 30 receivers but there are many more but we should cover your number one and two receivers in your draft. So let’s not waste any more time and dive in! Good luck!

30. Sterling Shepard (New York Giants)

2018 Stats: 66 Receptions | 872 Yards | 4 TDs | 13.2 YPC

We know one definite thing for the New York Giants and that is Saquon Barkley is their man on offense but we do not know who the main receiver will be. In comes Sterling Shepard who is going into his fourth season. He had a snap share of 96% in 2018 while holding a target share of 18% and 25% with end-zone target shares. He also ranked 37th in fantasy points at the wide receiver position with 11.3 points per game. He ended his season on a higher note with recording 17 and 11.6 fantasy points.

29. Will Fuller (Houston Texans)

2018 Stats: 32 Receptions | 503 Yards | 4 TDs | 15.7 YPC

It’s hard to be up there in the spotlight when the receiver on the other end of you is DeAndre Hopkins and you’re recovering from an ACL injury. Will Fuller currently holds an ADP of 93 and can be someone who performs for value. He was on the field for 80% of the snaps in 2018 in the 7 games he played and had a target share of just 20% but even lower end-zone target share with 12.5%. He was very consistent though in those 7 games as he only dropped below 10 fantasy points in just 2 games. He’s not a receiver to reach for with him coming off of the ACL injury but he could make a great value pick.

28. D.J. Moore (Carolina Panthers)

2018 Stats: 55 Receptions | 788 Yards | 2 TDs | 14.3 YPC

D.J. Moore is looking forward to his Sophomore season and is hoping that the Sophomore slump doesn’t hold true. Moore had a very up and down season but he had some bright spots to give the fans in Carolina some hope. He ranked 49th last season for points at the receiver position with 9.8 points per game. He was on the field for 70% of the snaps while playing at the slot in 25% of those and had a target share of 15%. When he recorded more than 10 fantasy points in a game, he was on the field for 85% or more of the snaps except for one during week 5 where he only saw 39% of the snaps. Like I mentioned already about Moore is that he holds some promise and could be line for some major usage this season.

27. Dante Pettis (San Francisco 49ers)

2018 Stats: 27 Receptions | 467 Yards | 5 TDs | 17.3 YPC

I love the San Francisco 49ers but I can’t be a homer here with Dante Pettis as the public seems to be pretty high on the young receiver. The 49ers’ injuries to multiple positions of last year have the NFC team with some major question marks this year. One of those questions is at the quarterback position with Jimmy Garappollo and his health status which can play a huge role in Pettis. He was able to finish off his season strong with 4 of his last five starts going for 10 or more fantasy points. He had a snap share rate of 58% and an end-zone target share of 23%. With the addition of Deebo Samuel at the wide receiver position, I wouldn’t bank too much on Pettis just yet.

26. Robby Anderson (New York Jets)

2018 Stats: 50 Receptions | 752 Yards | 6 TDs | 15 YPC

Robby Anderson had a rough start to his 2018 season and it lasted until Week 14 when he finally broke for 17.6 fantasy points. He held a target share of 80% and was a major play in the end-zone as his target shares were 39.3%. He also ranked 39th at the wide receiver position in fantasy points with 11.2 points per game. That ranking was boosted by his performances between Week 14 and Week 16th as he broke for 20 or more fantasy points twice. The Jets do receive some offensive relief with the addition of Le’Veon Bell so we’ll see how that spills out for the rest of the offense.
